BET Announces Nominees for Best Female Hip Hop Artist
On Wednesday, BET announced the nominees for the upcoming BET Awards. For the Best Female Hip Hop Artist, the following artists were nominated: Diamond, Trina, Nicki Minaj, and Brianna. I’m glad to see Brianna on the list, however, there are definitely some other artists that could have been nominated like Nitty Scott MC and Boog Brown. I’m also surprised that neither Azealia Banks nor Iggy Azalea were nominated for the category. The 2012 BET Awards are scheduled to air live on July 1st at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
